“While on the Orange Board of Education, I plan to increase educational opportunities and performance for all of our children while maintaining a reasonable school budget. Our youth should have a healthy, safe and accountable learning environment that promotes each child reaching their utmost potential. A major part of that learning experience/ environment includes the parents. The Board of Education and our schools need to improve the lines of communication so that all people; including parents, students and teachers, are aware of what the schools are doing to prepare our children for later in life, as well as how our children are responding to those stimuli. Let Orange’s academic successes continue to flourish and lead the way in Connecticut. I’m counting on your vote for me, Keith Marquis, to be a part of the Orange Board of Education to facilitate bringing about these goals.”
